JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for maintaining AXA Equitable's reputation and relationship with clients, shareholders, employees, financial professionals, and the public Participate in fraud control activities to include conducting investigations involving allegations of fraud to determine facts and circumstances, report facts to senior management with recommendations for corrective actions and, if necessary, report fraud to appropriate regulatory and criminal authorities Analyze and audit accounting procedures and help the control environment that deals with possible exposure to fraudulent financial reporting Communicate findings and accounting/financial information clearly and concisely in the form of reports, exhibits and collection of documents Must be familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and conduct investigations Performs a variety of complicated tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required Conduct all aspects of an investigation including: Analytical/technical review of documentation Detailed correspondence with all individuals who may assist in furtherance of investigation Interviews of clients, agents and other parties who may provide information Detailed oral and written communication and presentation of facts and findings in a logical and clearly understandable format Participate in the development and execution of the Company's fraud control initiative, including fraud awareness, fraud prevention, fraud detection, fraud risk assessment, and fraud risk governance JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree at a minimum (Preferred disciplines: Accounting, Finance and Business) Master’s Degree preferred Active and current CFE. CPA and CIA a plus. Technical and real knowledge of investigation techniques and theory. Understanding of accounting transactions, GAAP, IFRS and Insurnace Accounting. Strong investigative interviewing skills. Analytical, decisive and excellent communications (verbal, written and interpersonal) and problem solving skills. Proficiency in core computer skills (MS applications). Working knowledge of ACL and Access a plus.
