Title: Service Advisor Department: OREGON Location: Eugene, OR Type: Full_Time Position #: 123632 « Back to Job Listings Description: Immediate opening for a Service Advisor at Kendall Toyota of Eugene. Experience in a dealership or large shop writing service preferred. GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION: Interface with customers and service technicians to identify and sell vehicle repairs and maintenance. DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS: Determine need for repairs and maintenance by vehicle inspection and questioning customer, and by researching service history and computer information. Verify that work is properly diagnosed and performed. Input and maintain vehicle and customer information in computer system. Use telephone, Email and other means to communicate with customers and vendors. Schedule appointments. Maintain professional appearance of work area. Other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED: Superior verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills: ability to use Microsoft Windows based computer software and Internet browsers. Valid driver license with a driving record acceptable to Kendall insurance companies. Knowledge of automobile repair and maintenance. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and organized manner. Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, and with persons who are frustrated or angry. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Works primarily indoors. Occasional work outdoors, which is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain and other weather conditions. Some of indoors work is in a shop environment, with exposure to fumes, dust and elevated sound levels. VEHICLES OR MOVING EQUIPMENT DRIVEN AS PART OF JOB: Many makes, models and types of vehicles are driven, often within restricted spaces. Both manual and automatic transmissions must be operated. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR DEMANDS: Frequent telephone use. May spend greater than 3/4 of work shift with PCs and video display screens. Standing/walking short distances: up to 3/4 of work shift on hard and soft surfaces. Sitting: up to 1/2 of work shift. Lifting: rarely, up to 40 pounds. Carrying: rarely, up to 40 pounds, for up to 200 feet. Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with clients and other employees in person and by telephone. Sight adequate to locate and identify vehicles and other employees, and to use proprietary computer software.
