Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries, moving back stock to floor, and merchandising new products and stocking shelves. Purchases dairy products and participates in regional program for purchasing and promotions. Assist Team Leader in organizing and developing promotional displays, maintaining back room, and training of entry-level grocery team members.

1. Support goals and visions of Team Leader as well as any Regional and Global programs and policies.
2. Satisfy and delight customers by providing excellent customer service.
3. Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution .
4. Maintain a well-stocked and well-merchandised department including proper signage.
5. Assume primary responsibility for department specific products.
6. Responsible for achieving and exceeding margin and sales targets.
7. Properly document product transfers, control spoilage, generate turn movements, and participate in monthly inventory. Follow proper recall procedures.
8. Order product from vendors and process invoices, returns, and credits as well as meet all accounting deadlines.
   1. Purchase orders and credits must be created in IRMA, be accurate and complete prior to product arriving at the store.  Items delivered that are not on the PO will be refused.
   2. Only items in IRMA and authorized for your store may be ordered.
   3. Items may not be added onto an existing PO.  If additional items need to be ordered, a new PO should be created.
   4. Special order items must be in IRMA and must be on an IRMA PO prior to arriving at the Store
   5. Costs negotiated outside of an item’s regular hosted cost (including free fill, promo orders, special broker deals, volume discounts) must be reflected on the PO prior to the product arriving referencing the correct cost override reason code.
   6. Promo orders and auto ships must have an accurate and complete PO in IRMA prior to product arriving at the store.
9. Maintain a safe and sanitary department by complying with all occupational safety and health regulations and following established food safety procedures.  Report all safety or sanitation violations, hazards, accidents and injuries, to your Team Leader immediately.
10. Perform other duties as assigned including responsibilities of a Grocery Team Member.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
8. Successful completion of the buyer module tool-kit within the specified time limit
9. Working knowledge of Whole Foods , buying and pricing systems and applicable programs
10. Analytical ability and proficiency in margin calculations and inventory management
11. Strong demonstrated merchandising skills and department product knowledge
12. Ability to learn and safely use/operate all necessary tools and equipment
13. Ability to learn and practice safe lifting techniques
14. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Working Conditions

1. Repetitive stretching and lifting required (up to 40 lbs.)
2. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking up to 6-8 hours, sometimes on slick and/or uneven surfaces
3. Repetitive use of hands including power grasping and fine manipulation
4. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, climbing and reaching
5. Some exposure to dust, gas, fumes and chemicals
6. Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions
7. Requires mental and physical dexterity
8. Exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises
9. Must use all required, provided PPE (personal protection equipment)
10. Must wear slip resistant shoes (see approved list)
11. May work with motorized tools and equipment (including driving)
12. Repetition of duties
