The fields of specialization are open, but the new faculty member will be expected to teach one or more of the following courses in both our day and night programs during a typical year: statistics, principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, or managerial economics. The department will interview candidates at the AEA conference. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics or should have completed all degree requirements by commencement of employment. The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output appropriate for a school with AACSB accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs. The university is in a metropolitan setting with the Department of Economics and Finance housed in the College of Business.
