ECP prepares our students with the academic skills, character traits, and intellectual discipline to excel as leaders in high school, college, and their communities. ECP opened its doors in August 2009, with initial classes of 4th and 5th grade students. We've added a grade level each year, and will be fully grown to our 4-8 capacity for the 2012-13 school year. We are seeking teachers for the 2012-2013 school year for grades 4-8. Salary is commensurate with experience. Full benefits. Start Date: August 1, 2012. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), appropriate California teaching credential and fulfillment for all criteria set forth to be considered Highly Qualified under NCLB. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a classroom teacher with demonstrated quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass state or local averages; ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with special needs and low skill level in a heterogeneously grouped classroom setting; and demonstrated ability to work well in a team, especially with leaders, colleagues, parents and community members.
