Packager Location: Oakland, CA Job Code: 306 # of openings: 1 Description RAININ Instrument, LLC a METTLER TOLEDO company Position Title: Packager (SwingShift) Reports To: Packaging Supervisor Location: Oakland, CA Category: Non-Exempt Primary function: Inspects packages and assembles various molded products as directed. Accepts responsibility for inspecting and assembling high quality products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Utilizes and follows written documentation such as drawings, BOM’s department work instructions and/or verbal instruction in performing all packaging operations. Operator will use various hand tools, fixtures and equipment in performing all packaging operations. The use and operation of semi and fully automatic equipment is part of certain job functions. Performs harvesting and cleaning duties for all products produced. Consolidates all rejected tips by shift’s end and places them into a recycling bin. Segregates piece count and records the rejected tips and packaging materials daily. Ensures overall cleanliness of the production areas, products and equipment. Reports all pertinent information to the oncoming shift personnel. Reports problem areas encountered during the workday to the shift supervisor and or his/her delegates. Works cooperatively with members from other departments. Takes immediate action to ensure the work in progress is within specifications. Follows Company safety policies as outlined in the employee handbook. Cleans up after completing assigned jobs. Returns all tools and fixtures to the proper location after use. Performs daily clean-up procedures as directed. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and or equivalent with one (1) year experience in a high volume production environment are required. Good verbal communication skills in basic English. Mechanical skills to operate hand tools, fixtures, and equipment.
