The Program Assistant will support GMF’s Urban and Regional Policy Program’s convening and networking activities. Key Areas of Responsibility: • Assisting GMF staff with the day-to-day administration of the Urban and Regional Policy Program, including managing mailing lists, maintaining schedules, updating the website, and preparing budgets and expense reports; • Assisting Urban and Regional Policy Program staff in the preparation for and management of events, including regular workshops and study tours for local policymakers and practitioners; • Providing research and editorial support for GMF’s urban-related publications; • Supporting fundraising activities, including developing and editing proposal narratives and budgets, researching prospective funders and drafting grant reports; and • Based on demonstrated job performance, assisting Deputy Director with project management tasks for key initiatives and programs. Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor degree in Public Policy, Government, Urban Policy, or another related field. • A demonstrable interest or background in urban policy. • Prior work or internship experience (approximately six months to two years) in a think tank, public sector, or non-profit setting. • Excellent writing and editing skills in English. Proficiency or familiarity with a European language is preferred but not required. • Strong event organization and management skills, with superb attention to detail and an ability to meet rapid, multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team-orientated environment. • Solid research and analytical capabilities on matters of contemporary policy relevance.
