Scheduler - Plaza Outpatient Imaging( Job Number: 02525-6655) Work Location : United States-Florida-Jacksonville-Memorial Hospital Schedule : Full-time Description Schedules patients testing/procedures/admissions; obtains pre-certification/authorization; obtains and enters accurate insurance information; performs registration; answers incoming calls; provides customer servce. - Verify all insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization. - Welcome and direct patients and family members to the correct areas as needed. - Pre-register patients prior to appointments. - Dispense oral contrast and prep kits. - Educate patients for prep. - Maintain computer skills in related hospital systems. - Communicate appropriately with physician offices for orders. Obtain necessary correct orders. - Conduct reminder calls for patients with appointments. Contact no show patients to reschedule. - Provide coverage for file room. - Sign out mammography films. -Provide coverage for registration. -Provide coverage for reception/front desk as needed. Qualifications High school diploma - required.
