Description
General Summary of Duties:
Responsible to clean, stock, and offer amenities to guests at the fitness facilities while providing courteous and competent services to ensure guests satisfaction at the Spa.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands:
Requires mobility. Prolonged standing and bending. Transport carts weighing up to 80 pounds. Vertically and horizontally move items up to twenty pounds, six feet above ground. Reach 36 inches overhead. Normal sense of smell, touch, and sound. Normal vision and hearing range. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
Typical Working Conditions:
Work is performed in designated areas of the Spa. Use and exposure to chemicals, fumes, and odors. Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.   Position is subject to long hours and varied schedules of work in a high-demand and high-energy environment.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
1.         Provide instructions to guest on equipment usage, assist with Spa amenities, and schedule training appointments.
2.         Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
3.         Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials.
4.         Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
5.         Perform other related duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities):
Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest, management, and staff. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
Education:
High school education or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of one year high-end gym or fitness facility experience preferred.
License/Certificate:
Fitness certification such as AFFA – ACE, ACSM, or other recognized organization required.
