UTILITY OPERATOR (Full Time) Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan General Description: This position is responsible for general labor duties & operating heavy equipment. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values and leads department in replicating these behaviors. Essential Duties: • Use equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or rail cars, and/or to move materials to designated areas. • Operate loader and other equipment to move material. • Distinguish between different grades and types of materials. • Inspect incoming and outgoing loads, upgrading material if possible. • Assist in hand sorting material when necessary. • Responsible for physical inventory. • Must be willing and capable of performing all duties required to run yard location including run heavy equipment and all machinery. • Provide excellent customer service • Other duties as necessary. Minimum Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • Computer Skills • Knowledge of Ferrous and Non-ferrous materials • Strong communications and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently as well as with others • Customer service oriented. • Knowledge of heavy equipment machinery. • Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment To be considered for this position attach your resume to the online application in .doc or .pdf file format.
