OFFICE ASSISTANT IV ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY Provide a variety of secretarial, supervisory bookkeeping and assigned administrative duties. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Can perform independently any office function which does not relate to program. Devises and or revises systems as needed to promote the smooth operation of the local office. May be responsible for the maintenance of personnel files, including payroll information and attendance records. Understands budgeting and prepares preliminary records. May be responsible for providing notary services. Ability to operate and instruct in the use of office equipment. May demonstrates knowledge of employee benefit package. Responsible for providing secretarial services to the Regional Director and local Advisory Board. Does related work as required. In some offices the Administrative Assistant may perform several of the duties outlines by the descriptions “Office Manager” and/or “Executive Secretary”. Work is subject to the general direction of the Area Director. Supervises clerical and non-professional employees according to assignment. QUALIFICATIONS: Business school plus 1 year of related experience or high school or equivalency and 3 years related experience. Good knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to type 50 wpm if necessary.
