Location: St. Louis Park, MN, US Employment Type: Full Time Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Project CAP, LLC financial team. The Accountant will provide a reliable consistent and honest work ethic along with general ledger activities such as the reconciliation and review of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintenance of payroll journals. This position will accurately work the day to day details along with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting. Projects will include working with internal and external customers, and also working with bank and tax audits in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting details. Responsibilities • Maintenance of daily accounting ledger activities • Ensure accuracy of financial records including investments, expenditures and revenues • Report and correct financial discrepancies • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable activities • Maintain / Manage the computerized and physical accounting filing systems • Prepare month-end documentation and generate monthly financial statements • Assist in development and implementation of the company’s overall financial goals and objectives • Prepare annual year end statements and reports • Attend staff meetings, workshops and seminars to stay current with rules and regulations • Participate in forecasting activities • Miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: • Degree in accounting or equivalent experience • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: • Highly organized and self-motivated individual with proven capability of managing multiple tasks. • Experience with government audits, taxes and financial planning • Experience using bookkeeping software (i.e. OWL, QuickBooks, Peachtree or Microsoft Money) • Experience with Peach Tree or QuickBooks • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of finance/accounting products: Excel, Access, Project • Excellent attention to detail Personal Attributes: • Strong work ethic • Takes personal accountability and pride in work • Ability to work under accelerated timeframes and within budget • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities • Tolerance for conflicting demands on time and resources • Ability to learn and apply new concepts • Flexible To Apply or for more information please contact: Missi McKown Recruiter CorTalent, LLC 612-269-7698 (c) mmckown@cor3talent.com |
