US Cargo, is seeking a Dockworker.
Responsibilities:
•Manually distribute boxes, bags, envelopes, cartons and other goods in the designated sort area of the terminal. Freight may be palletized.
•Reads manifest, address label, bill of lading, and/or receives oral instruction to determine the correct route to be distributed to the customer or line haul driver.
•Loads/unloads and scans freight onto or from pallets, trays, bins, vehicles onto sort table, pallets or manual conveyor.
•Moves freight to designated area by manual rollers, two wheel hand truck, four wheel hamper and/or by hand.
•May count, weigh and/or record number of pieces to be distributed.
•Use all safety equipment, i.e. hand trucks, to assure proper handling and security of freight while sorting.
•Report any injuries, accidents or safety hazards, whether personal or property, immediately.
•Maintain excellent customer and public relations by displaying a professional attitude.
•Display a neat, clean appearance and follow Company’s uniform policy at all times.
